Thursday mornings 10-12pm Community Art Classes @Caringbah Girl Guides Hall
Bounce out of bed on Thursdays and head to our fun weekly art classes! Learn creative skills, try a range of mediums and connect with your community in relaxed and uplifting setting.
We are currently holding these classes at Caringbah Girl Guides Hall – located right near the YMCA.
Term 2 saw us inspired by the love of travel – intoxicating Paris, Gaudi’s Barcelona and Greek islands. Term 3 was inspired by seasons of change. And in Term 4 we’re going to mix it up a little – advancing our skills and developing an artwork over each of the five-week sessions. More time will be given to using each week to master our composition and use of acrylics.
All welcome, so come on down and join our amazing growing art group. People come for the art but end up leaving with new friends too – how cool is that!
- Starting date Session 1: Thursdays 12/19/26 Oct + 2/9 Nov. Session 2: 16/23/30 Nov + 7/14 Dec.

- $10 additional for Term 4 to cover canvases.

Exciting news – Kids art classes starting in Term 4!
I am DELIGHTED to announce the commencement of Saltwater Sketches Kids’ Art Classes hosted at The Studio Sydney Group Caringbah. We begin getting ‘messy’ Thursday 19th Oct and can’t wait to have you join us!
Our art classes are lots of fun and engaging for kids in an intimate sized class.
Children will work at their own pace, with guidance from the teacher, and are encouraged to support students alongside them. In this relaxed environment we learn the power of connection and the benefits of sharing creative expression with others. Throughout the six weeks we will explore composition, drawing, watercolour and acrylics through a variety of themes. It’s a great way for kids to try a bit of everything and gain more knowledge with art basics.

Why art for kids?
Art has so many benefits for a growing brain including improvement in self-regulation and stress reduction, increase in awareness and memory function and the ability to better manage anxiety and self-acceptance through creative processes and exploration. Plus creativity allows us to tap into our imagination again. In a world of screens I believe this is an essential skill we need to practice now.
