Thursday monthly community art class!

1st Thursday of each month 6-8pm located above: Learn2play music Caringbah

Each month we take time out for ourselves and come together to draw, paint and create. This two-hour workshop presents a new theme, and we explore a range of art mediums as we connect with our community.

We use ink, collage, pencils, acrylic and watercolour.

Since we began our community art classes 3 years ago, we have been inspired by and painted our favourite travel destinations, images of the feminine identity, our homes, community, the ocean and its healing powers and a range of themes centering around connection.

These art workshops have become more than a few hours to paint. They are open to everyone, no matter what your experience level, and offer the chance to connect with like-minded people and express your inner creativity without judgement in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Cost: Classes are $35 per session, including materials.

Testimonials

Going to art classes each Thursday with Jen Danskine is the highlight of my week! I look forward to the welcoming, non-judgemental creative space. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is a new and fun project to look forward to each week. Jen is a highly skilled and fantastic teacher who highlights everyone’s varying abilities. We get to experiment with a variety of mediums and are encouraged to work outside our comfort zones. Thursday art classes and the additional paint and sip classes that I attend are my happy place. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Do yourself a favour and check them out.

Art therapy with Jen helps me relax and recharge my batteries each week. It’s my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

I started art with Jen to simply try something outside of my comfort zone, but what I didn’t realise was just how much of an amazing time and experience it would become for me. Both personally and connecting with a beautiful tribe of women. As we draw and paint on our paper our stories become woven both in our brush work and in sharing our stories. Jen has a very special gift. Of course, Jen is an amazing teacher but she’s so much more than that… I come away with my cup so full and my heart so happy. You’ll be so glad you chose Jens classes; a simply beautiful human with boundless talent and spirit!
